Hunter Wilken rubs Faiths ear as a way to find comfort.
He hugs her as she stands confidently, her curly fur cuddly and
soft. She is truly mans best friend.
She helps me not feel nervous, he says.
Wilken, 8, has autism and finds it hard sometimes to communicate
with others, says his mother Chyrrel Laundre.
Faith has not only helped him immensely, but the four-year-old
poodle has also helped the family.
He needed to learn to be more independent. Finding the
right dog was trial and error, she says, adding the family
got Faith around six months ago from Magesterial Kennels near
Napanee.
The whole family loves her. |
