ADS welcomes Allison Savard to our staff!
Allison comes to Autism Dog Services with more than 10 years experience in the area of service dog training for children with autism. She began in 1998 as a volunteer with National Service Dogs, North America’s first autism service dog program. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2002,

Allison accepted a position to develop and manage NSD’s first formal breeding and puppy program. In this capacity, Allison spent several years working with breeders, volunteers, and families in the raising and training of foster-puppies.

Upon completing her apprenticeship as a autism service dog trainer and instructor, Allison assisted families with autism across the country. In recent years Allison was promoted to the position of Senior Trainer and managed all dog-related programs and student education.

Allison is thrilled to be joining Autism Dog Services to assist more families affected with autism alongside her former colleague, Wade Beattie.

Allison lives in Waterloo, Ontario and shares her life with her 2 young sons, husband, Labrador retriever and cat.
